For a duathlon, any bike is better than no bike. However, not everyone needs, wants or can afford a fancy triathlon bike. A gravel bike can allow you to ride fast on all types of terrain whether you are training, racing, or recreational road riding and is a good choice for its value, versatility, adjustability, and upgradability. With the right training, you can be competitive on whatever type of bike you own.
My Experience With Intermittent Fasting
Endurance Sports & Fitness Magazine Athlete Profile: Duathlete Eric Logan
I Am A Duathlete
My name is Eric and I am a duathlete. I started as a runner and at heart I will always be a runner, but I am focused on being a duathlete. Duathlons are tough. Completing a run before the bike ride and then having to run again is what makes duathlons highly competitive from start to finish. So why put myself through all that effort? Why do I push my body the way that I do?
Running While Black: My Perspective
Staying Focused As A Duathlete During COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic is making life, let alone training, more challenging but my focus and goals remain constant. Change and growth are possible even during this unprecedented time. My training routines may be altered, but I am taking this time of uncertainty to appreciate the small stuff and reflect on what attracted me to the sport of duathlons in the first place.
Why Now Is A Good Time To Start Running
In a time of self-isolation and quarantine, running outside is a great workout option in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic. Running provides relief from stress, boosts the immune system and is something you can safely enjoy outside while staying in full compliance with the recommendations from the health organizations and government.
Dealing With Coronavirus
The coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic has affected all of us on some level. Our daily routines have changed in so many ways. This is especially true for duathletes. While the status of many upcoming races has changed, we must remember to stay positive through the uncertainty so we can still maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and keep sight of our goals ahead.
Compression Recovery for Duathletes
Compression recovery is an absolute must for any serious athlete because they are a great way to help enhance blood flow and speed up the body’s natural recovery process. This is highly beneficial for duathletes since they are engaging in intense endurance training that involves long periods of intense running and cycling.
